3v3 Penetrate from Wide Areas

Use a rectangular pitch with two wide channels and mini goals or end zones. Three attackers face three defenders. Bonus points are awarded for attacks that begin in a wide channel before penetrating centrally.

Create width early; isolate a defender; receive facing forward; recognise when to dribble inside or combine; support underneath and beyond the ball.

• Add a neutral wide player or make the final action a finish on full goal.

• Make the wide channels larger or allow uncontested first touch.
