Organization

Use a 40x34m area toward a full-size goal with goalkeeper. Five attackers include 9, 10, 8 and two wide players against four defenders plus one midfielder. Start from a supporting midfielder and trigger the rotation when the 9 checks short.

Coaching Points

9 drops only after first pinning the centre-back | 10 holds the midfielder rather than following the ball | 8 attacks the lane as the 9 receives | Pass can go through 9 or directly into the 8 | Wide players keep the back line stretched

Progressions

  • Allow the defending midfielder to pass the 10 on and recover toward the 8.

Regressions

  • Use passive central pressure and rehearse the three-player timing.
