Organization

Use a 34x26m pitch with a 7x7m central box. Play 6v6. A point requires a controlled pass or carry into the box followed by a successful pass out through the opposite half of the field while possession is maintained.

Coaching Points

Enter the box only with support available | Receiver scans the far side before receiving | Pressure will collapse centrally, so exit quickly | Support underneath the release | Do not enter and leave through the same lane

Progressions

  • Limit the central receiver to one touch and allow a second defender to enter the box.

Regressions

  • Protect the central receiver from pressure and widen the box.
