6v6+2N Switch-the-Play Possession

Two balanced teams compete in the central area with two fixed wide neutrals — one in the left wide channel and one in the right wide channel — who always support the team in possession. The possession team attracts pressure toward one side, maintains central support, recognises free space on the opposite side, switches possession through the centre, and connects with the opposite wide neutral. Wide neutrals remain on opposite sides. Continuous play with immediate role change after turnover.

Move the opponent toward one side, then switch possession through central support to exploit the opposite wide side.

Coaching Points

Attract pressure before switching. Maintain width on both sides. Scan the opposite side before receiving. Circulate to move the opponent. Use central players to connect sides. Play away from pressure. Open the body toward the far side. Opposite-side players stay available. Increase speed after the switch. Do not force the switch too early.
