Organization

Attack from one wing toward a full-size goal. On the far side, the winger stays outside, the 8 arrives inside and the striker occupies the central defender. Two defenders protect the far-post zone. The crosser chooses a clipped or driven delivery into the 3v2 picture.

Coaching Points

Three attackers arrive on different lines | Far winger stays outside the fullback initially | 8 attacks the inside shoulder late | Striker occupies the nearest centre-back | Delivery should match the movement, not a fixed zone

Progressions

  • Add a recovering midfielder who can track the number 8 after the cross is released.

Regressions

  • Use one passive defender and predetermine the delivery type.
