Organization

Create a 16x14m triangle. Player A clips to B. B cushions with the chest, lets the ball settle into the stride and plays forward to C, who starts behind B and times a curved support run beyond the receiving line.

Coaching Points

Move under the flight early | Relax the chest on contact | Bring the ball into a playable stride | Third player moves while the ball is descending | Forward pass should lead the runner, not stop the run

Progressions

  • Add a passive defender screening the direct passing lane to the third player.

Regressions

  • Use underarm aerial service and allow an extra settling touch.
