An attacking pattern where the central forward drops between lines, connects the ball and creates space for a winger or midfielder to run beyond.

Use a dropping false 9 to pull a defender out and release a runner into the vacated central space.

Organization

Use a back or midfield passer, a false 9, two wide attackers and a defender reference. Pass into the dropping 9, who sets or turns while a runner attacks the space left behind.
