Organization

Set three staggered gates in a 22x14m channel. A passes forward to B and immediately follows 5–7m behind. B can play forward to C or bounce back to A if the forward lane is closed. Players rotate through the gates after each sequence.

Coaching Points

Passer moves as soon as the ball leaves the foot | Maintain enough depth to see the whole action | Do not crowd the receiver from behind | Receiver scans forward before using the safety pass | Supporting player receives side-on to switch or play forward again

Progressions

  • Add a defender pressing B from the front so the safety support becomes a live decision.

Regressions

  • Predetermine every second repetition as a bounce back to the supporting passer.
