A directional 1v1 game where the attacker scores by dribbling into an end zone under control. The format rewards penetration, timing and ball security after the defender is beaten.

Organization

Create a 12x8m field with a 2m end zone at each end. One attacker plays against one defender. Attackers score by entering the opponent's end zone with the ball under control.

Coaching Points

Attack space with purpose | Use the defender's momentum against them | Keep the final touch controlled before entering the zone | Protect the ball after the move | Defender recovers through the inside line

Progressions

  • Reduce the width and add a six-second scoring limit.

Regressions

  • Increase the field width and allow the attacker a free first touch.
