3-3-1 Build-Up — 6 Central, Fullbacks Higher, 8 Connects Next Line
A structured build-up game that separates the first line of three from a second support line of fullback-6-fullback, with one advanced 8 positioned to connect the next phase.

Organization
Use a 42x34m three-band area. Three build-up players occupy the first band, LB-6-RB the second band and an 8 the third. Four defenders press across the first two bands. Progress by finding the 8 under control.
Coaching Points
Second line stays spread across three channels | 6 adjusts laterally to stay visible | Fullbacks are higher than the first line but lower than the 8 | 8 moves across the third band rather than dropping too early | First line carries forward if the press does not engage
Progressions
- Allow the 8 to be marked by a fifth defender after the first line is broken.
Regressions
- Use three pressers and enlarge the middle band.
