Organization

Start three attackers 28–35m from goal against two defenders. A third defender begins 8–10m behind the play and sprints back on the first pass. Attackers try to finish before the recovery runner restores equality.

Coaching Points

First defender delays rather than diving in | Second defender protects central passing lane | Force play away from goal | Recovery runner sprints inside the ball line | Communicate when equality is restored

Progressions

  • Give the attackers a larger starting advantage and allow one-touch final passes.

Regressions

  • Start the recovery defender closer and reduce the attacking width.
