Organization

Set a 32x24m pitch with wide channels. Play 4v4 inside with one neutral in each wide channel. The team in possession can use either neutral and scores by finishing after a cross or cutback.

Coaching Points

Move the ball wide after attracting central pressure | Support underneath the wide neutral | Attack near, central and far finishing spaces | Cross with a clear target | React to second balls

Progressions

  • Allow defenders to enter the wide channel after the neutral's first touch.

Regressions

  • Keep wide neutrals unopposed and increase the crossing zone.
