A possession game with four internal gates positioned diagonally. A team scores by playing through one gate and then escaping through the diagonally opposite gate without losing the ball.

Organization

Use a 32x24m area with four 2m gates arranged as a diamond. Play 5v5. Once a team passes or dribbles through any gate, the diagonally opposite gate becomes its scoring target for the next action sequence.

Coaching Points

Scan the opposite gate before entering the first | Do not crowd the gate just used | Support both sides of the ball after penetration | Change speed once the far target becomes active | Recycle if the diagonal route is closed

Progressions

  • Require the opposite gate to be reached within four passes of the first gate entry.

Regressions

  • Widen the gates and remove the pass limit.
