Organization

Use a 36x32m area toward a full-size goal with goalkeeper. Three centre-backs defend against two forwards and two wide servers. The ball circulates between wide and central serving positions, forcing the back three to shift and pass runners.

Coaching Points

Ball-side CB can engage when cover is secure | Middle CB protects the central striker | Weak-side CB narrows to protect depth | Do not flatten the line unnecessarily | Goalkeeper communicates space behind the line

  • Allow a late midfielder to join between the back three and midfield line.
