Organization

Each repetition: 1. Finisher starts outside or behind the finishing area. 2. Wide player receives or carries ball into advanced wide position. 3. Wide player plays a cutback: backward or diagonally backward/infield. 4. Finisher times late run into central finishing area. 5. Finish quickly: preferably 1-2 touches. 6. Rotate roles. The finisher must not stand waiting inside the scoring area before the cutback.

Coaching Points

Do not arrive too early — time the run. Scan ball and goalkeeper before finishing. Attack the ball aggressively. Open body orientation before contact. Adjust stride length before finishing. Prefer one-touch finish when possible. Arrive on a different line each time. Quality of cutback determines finish quality.
