Organization
Use a rectangular area with a target player positioned in a central or end zone. Attackers circulate the ball and try to find the target. Defenders score by intercepting or forcing play away from the target.
Coaching Points
See ball and target; deny the passing lane before the pass; stay touch-tight without fouling; communicate cover; react to lay-offs and second balls.
Progressions
- Allow the target to leave the zone or add a second target option.
Regressions
- Make the target zone smaller and reduce attacking numbers.
