GK Claim the Cross & Switch Play

Organization
Place one goalkeeper in a full goal, a wide server on each side and two target players or gates beyond the penalty area. The goalkeeper claims a cross from one side and distributes quickly toward the opposite target.
Coaching Points
Start in an aggressive position; call early; take the ball at the highest safe point; land balanced; scan before possession is secured; switch quickly and accurately.
Progressions
- Add an attacker challenging for the cross or require distribution within three seconds.
Regressions
- Serve predictable crosses without pressure and use larger targets.
