Organization

Use a full-size goal with goalkeeper. The attacker receives a through pass 18–24m from goal and breaks centrally. The goalkeeper is encouraged to advance. If the keeper commits low, the attacker can push the ball around the hands into a side channel before finishing.

Coaching Points

Look at goalkeeper distance before the final touch | Touch around the hands, not too far toward the byline | Keep balance after avoiding the keeper | Finish quickly before recovery defenders arrive | Early shot remains available if keeper holds position

Progressions

  • Add a recovering defender behind the attacker.

Regressions

  • Start goalkeeper deeper and serve from a shorter distance.
