Organization

Use a full-size goal with goalkeeper and a wide server. One attacker runs to the near post and flicks or redirects the cross across the six-yard area. A second attacker times a far-post run to finish the redirected ball.

Coaching Points

Near runner attacks the ball, not the goal | Redirect into the far-post corridor | Far runner delays until the first contact is likely | Keep the ball away from the goalkeeper's hands | Second attacker expects imperfect touches

Progressions

  • Add two live defenders who can challenge both the first and second contacts.

Regressions

  • Use predictable crosses and no defenders in the box.
