Organization

Divide a 42x24m area into three equal zones and play 5v5. On every turnover, the losing team may counterpress freely in the current zone for four seconds. The regaining team scores by escaping into the next zone and then reaching the third zone before the defence resets.

Coaching Points

First receiver protects the ball from the counterpress | Support appears outside the pressure cluster | Use one safe action if needed | Once the first wave is escaped, accelerate forward | Do not continue playing sideways after the space beyond opens

Progressions

  • Reduce the counterpress window to three seconds but narrow the area.

Regressions

  • Increase zone width and allow one neutral support player.
