Organization

Start possession on one side with a central passer. Switch diagonally to the opposite winger, where the winger and fullback attack one defender in a 2v1 channel. The action ends through a mini-goal, dribble gate or delivery toward goal.

Coaching Points

Switch before the far side becomes crowded | Winger's first touch should face forward | Fullback arrives at a different height | Commit the defender before passing | Finish the 2v1 before recovery support arrives

Progressions

  • Add a recovering midfielder who joins the duel three seconds after the switch.

Regressions

  • Begin with the far-side defender passive for the first touch.
